“Tapping the Creativity of Downtime” - from the Wall Street Journal & GoliathJobs
by Michele O’Connor
I read this article in the Wall Street Journal about maximizing creativity during downtime. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121684940503778621.html
GoliathJobs has several unique methods of tapping creativity. One of the reasons for this is our focus on offering internships. Every department in our company, which is run by creative & innovative personnel, is also staffed with interns. The PR & Journalism department, in particular, is staffed with professional writers as well as interns. The goal for this department is to maximize GoliathJobs’ exposure in the media.
Our recent Public Relations initiative parallels this article.
We noticed that many of our clients were complaining about the lack of results they were getting from their PR firms. We decided to offer a new revenue model, managed by our Journalism/PR interns, that allows them to assist clients in maximizing media exposure for their products or services. Within a short time clients were signing up for this service in droves. We had to bring on more staff and interns just to manage it. Now, employers that use GoliathJobs for posting positions can also utilize our Public Relations services as well!
Have a good day!
