Happy New Year! 2007 Wrap-Up & 2008 View Forward
By David Mezzapelle
2007 ended on a great note for us. Our growth rate exceeded our forecast. Job seekers, schools and employers registered on GoliathJobs in high volume. Fortunately our staff has been able to meet and exceed the demands of our users regardless of the increased volume.
Advertising revenue also exceeded expectations. Advertisers, including Land’s End, Travelocity, Apple, HP, Delta, Southwest, Macy’s, Sony, Gap, Old Navy and many more, are now live on our myDiscounts page. These advertisers are meeting their commitments to providing our users with substantial discounts/promotions. 100% of the advertisers have renewed with us for 2008. Remember, the myDiscounts and web-page ads do not interfere with site navigation nor do they distract users - that was always our plan and will remain that way.
2008 is an exciting year. We will continue to grow GoliathJobs as well as launch GoliathJobsOver50.com. This is an identical site which focuses on the growing 50+ demographic in a dedicated portal. Job seekers, schools and employers that have registered with us do not need to re-apply for access to this site. The functionality of the two sites will be merged from a database standpoint. Since we are keyword driven, job seekers will be able to find the same job (or internship) on either site regardless of demographic.
Happy and Healthy New Year. Thank you for your continued support of our free service. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions, feedback or just to say hello.
