My David & Goliath Story Part 3. GoliathJobs.com is Born.

During these years, 1990 through 2007, we tapped into a market that was full of opportunity. Our comprehensive internship program helped to staff our company and create buzz across the industry. Students virally spread the word about our program to other students. We realized that Goliath Technology was a small part of something much bigger; we had to head down that path.
Connecting students and employers through schools is clearly a win-win for everyone. In addition to growing our company year after year, primarily built on this model, I dreamed of creating another organization that brings together students and other employers.
In early 2006 we started developing GoliathJobs.com. We ran focus groups, studied the various job boards, wrote prototype web applications, and met with students, colleges and employers throughout the US & Canada. We got the ball rolling on GoliathJobs.com and knew our experience and knowledge of this market would all come together in this project. I had two requirements, the site had to be “Free” and it had to be “Simple.” I was confident that we would have plenty of traffic. We could always build marketing services based on our demographic and traffic pattern that would yield enough revenue to cover operating costs. I was not worried. And I always assert, in all areas of life, that things should be simple.
The Goliath Team
It is now summer 2007 and GoliathJobs is well on the way to revolutionizing the employment industry. I recently sold Goliath Technology. I am now completely focused on GoliathJobs and building the dream like I mentioned above. We are almost there and plan to launch this September. GoliathJobs.com is completely free and will bring together students, alumni, schools and employers like no other job board or recruiter. Our marketing services will embrace, not distract, our users.

I was an intern with your company in 1991. UVM Burlington, part of the CompuCampus project. I am so glad to hear you have taken this concept to this level. The public should know that i was a finance major. I called upon local brokerages, financial services firms, insurance agencies, law firms, etc on behalf of CompuCampus, (a division of Goliath Technology). Because of that experience i landed a job with Merrill Lynch in Portsmouth. I have been with them since 1994. I recommend this to all employer and students.
